Rob Deering
"an easy-going cheeky chappie demeanour with quickfire wit" Evening Standard
With his easy charm, cheesy singing voice, razor-sharp wit, red-hot guitar skills and clownish physicality, Rob has established himself as a firm stand-up favourite. Since exploding onto the comedy scene in 2000, Rob has cemented his live reputation with 3 sell-out solo shows at The Edinburgh Festival and performances in Australia as part of the World Comedy Tour TV show.
Not only an exciting live prospect, Rob has also emerged as one of TV’s hottest new presenters. He has enjoyed wresting Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), starred in a photo love story in The Sun and endured James Bond-like torture at the hands of the Cosmonaut training school in Russia, in his role as host of 99 Things To Do Before You Die (5).
As writer and presenter of Movie Mistakes, Uncovered, Uncut (5) Rob has tapped into the cult of spotting errors in Hollywood blockbusters. He also wrote and hosted the comedy series Lesser-Spotted Britain (Channel 4) Flipside (Paramount Comedy Channel), The Ride (ITV 2), and co-hosted Strictly Dance Fever (BBC 3).
This Year Rob will be supporting Jenny Eclair on her live tour 'Because i forgot to get a pension', as well as performing his new show 'Charmageddon' at the Edinburgh Fringe. So far in 2007 he has filmed talking head interviews for 'The Most annoying pop moments we love to hate' and 'The most annoying tv show we hate to love', hosted series 3 of 'Out to Lunch' (BBC Radio 2), won the comedian special of 'The Weakest Link', co-presented and wrote for 'Soapstar Superstar Bonus Track' series 2 (ITV 2), and appeared on the last series of Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth (Channel 4).
