Mystery Mash-Up DJ
Jaguar Skills is a British DJ who has gained notoriety since 2002 for his eclectic 'mash-up' style mixtapes. Jaguar Skills has released a number of mixtapes through various outlets, including BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra, and now has a weekly 10 minute mix on The Trevor Nelson Show. His true identity is a closely guarded secret. He built his profile and learnt his craft in clubs across London.
As ever Jag has been locked in his top-secret ninja lab producing yet more jaw-dropping mixes. With the likes of Damon Albarn commissioning a mix of Gorillaz album tracks, and Island Records requesting a mix for their priority artist Devlin, Mr.Skills’ mash-ups skills are constantly gaining wider critical acclaim, having recently won a 2010 Gold World Medal at the New York Radio Awards for his recent BBC World Cup Mix! This was in addition to being nominated for the Virtual Festivals Critics Choice Award for his set at NASS Fest 2010.
