Announce Debut UK Tour
Foster The People have announced details of their debut UK tour set to take place in November.
The band will play a total of five shows, including a show at Manchester's Academy 3. The band are currently on a sold out tour of the U.S but will be playing the following UK festivals over the summer, Glastonbury (John Peel Stage) Lovebox (Gaymers Stage) Latitude Festival (Sunrise Stage) Reading Festival (Festival Republic Stage) Leeds Festival (Festival Republic Stage). The band will release their debut album 'Torches' on Monday 27th June. The single 'Pumped Up Kicks' is out now.
Foster the People is an indie rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2009. According to the Pumped Up Kicks Songfacts, the band started off as a solo project for vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Mark Foster, who had been working as a jingle composer for commercials. As his songs became more grandiose, Foster enlisted Cubbie Fink (bass, vocals) and Mark Pontius (drums).
